Richard Dent Hall of Fame Celebration

CHICAGO, September 22, 2011

Michigan Avenue Magazine’s Dan Uslan and Susanna Negovan, and Testarossa Entertainment’s Julee White are hosting an event to celebrate former Chicago Bears champion and Super Bowl XX MVP Richard Dent into the Class of 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 25th.

The Make a Dent Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, founded by Richard Dent, former Chicago Bear and Super Bowl XX MVP over 14 years ago, with the primary goal of improving the lives of children. The Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to worthwhile organizations, such as The Illinois Literacy Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kentucky, Colin Powell’s America’s Promise, United Negro College Fund, Columbia College Chicago and the Better Boys Foundation.

Cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres are from 8 to 11pm at SUNDA, 110 W. Illinois. Prior to our celebration, Richard will be presented with his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring at the Bears vs. Packers game.  During the evening Richard will be available for a once in a lifetime photo opportunity with his Pro Football Hall of Fame bust, jacket, and ring.  Several celebrities and Chicago notables have confirmed to attend.

Rahm Emanuel, Mayor of the City of Chicago, has proclaimed September 25th, 2011 RICHARD DENT DAY in the city of Chicago.  Dave McDermott, Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Chief of Staff will be representing the Mayor on Sunday and will read the Proclamation.

This is a special evening to celebrate the most dominant player of his era and the all-time sack leader for the Chicago Bears for his many accomplishments.
